The fascinating power of applying Artificial Intelligence transcends the collective ovation. 36% of Spanish companies have adopted AI technologies in 2024, which represents a growth of 29 points compared to 2022, according to the study ‘Unlocking the potential of AI in Europe in the Digital Decade’, developed by Strand Partners.

According to this adoption rate, the new knowledge industry will contribute an additional 55 billion euros to gross added value by 2030 and could bring 282 billion euros to the Spanish economy by that date. A figure equivalent to 30% of the turnover of the industrial sector in our country.  

Achieving this potential requires addressing three critical issues: creating an environment conducive to innovation, addressing the digital skills gap and ensuring access to the latest technologies. The reality is that the uptake of AI tools is prevalent among large companies (46% of cases), which does not prevent the global vision from being unanimous: six out of ten (61% exactly) believe that AI will transform their respective sectors in the next five years, a figure similar to the European average (63%).
